Barbara Ann Corcoran is an American businesswoman from America. The Corcoran Group, an NY-based real estate broker, was founded by Corcoran. NRT bought it in 2001 for $66 million. Corcoran later left the business. Corcoran was among the original Shark Tank investors. She was a regular on every episode of ABC's Shark Tank. Corcoran had signed 53 contracts as of February, 2020. Her largest deal was her investment of $350,000 into Coverplay for 40%. Corcoran is the second child of 10 from a Catholic family with a low-income was born in Edgewater in New Jersey. Florence, her mother, was an excellent household worker. Edwin W. Corcoran Jr. Her father was always changing jobs during Corcoran's career. The family depended on food delivery services for free from a local grocer. Corcoran recalls that her father was an alcohol-dependent drunkard who often treated her mother with condescension and disrespect, particularly after the fact that he was drinking. Corcoran struggled with her education and was later diagnosed with dyslexia. Corcoran was educated at a Catholic elementary school, and later began high school in Englewood at St. Cecilia High School. Corcoran, who had failed numerous classes in her freshman year, transferred to Leonia High School. There she was awarded a D. The largest was a $350,000 investment that will cover 40 percent of Coverplay. Corcoran was born in Edgewater (New Jersey) as the second child of ten in a Catholic Irish working class family. Her family often relied on the free food delivery from a friendly local supermarket. Corcoran remembers her father as one who often was a drinker and did her mother a disservice and sneer, especially after he'd consumed alcohol. Corcoran was a struggle throughout her education and later discovered that she had dyslexia. Corcoran was a student at a Catholic primary school within her area and started high school at St. Cecilia High School, Englewood. Corcoran dropped several classes during her first year, and then transferred to Leonia High School where she was an A student.
